Slide-outs are the most impressive feature on modern RVs and also the most failure-prone. A rig has one to four slide mechanisms, each with motors or hydraulics, gearing, seals, alignment components, and the roof and floor structures that flex every cycle. The Three Slide Systems

Electric rack-and-pinion
